Professor Ruta Gupta is the Head of Department of Tissue Pathology and Diagnostic Oncology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. In this role she manages the diagnostic pathology department affiliated with a premier, tertiary care Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, ranked as the best (No.1) Hospital in Australia by NewsWeek 2023. As a teaching pathology department, TPDO RPA houses 20 pathologists, several internationally recognised leaders in their area of work, 10 registrars and 60-70 scientific staff. TPDO RPA is the referral center for diagnostic molecular oncology, bone and soft tissue and head and neck pathology. She leads multidisciplinary research into oncology, genomics and immunotherapy.
